Frequently Asked Questions for Incoming Student-Athletes/Transfers
- All incoming student-athletes will need to have their NCAA Division I Academic Qualifier Certification and Division I Amateurism Certification through the NCAA Eligibility Center.
- Division 1 Initial Eligibility Academic Requirements can be found here.
- All high school transcripts and proof of graduation need to be sent to the NCAA Eligibility Center so an Academic Qualifier status can be confirmed. Please work with your high school Guidance Counselor to have all documentation sent to the NCAA Eligibility Center.
- If you have additional questions relating to the NCAA Eligibility Center or D1 academic requirements, please contact the NCAA Eligibility Center directly at 877-262-1492 (toll-free).
- Ask the Office of NCAA Compliance at your previous institution to complete your Transfer Portal.
- Coordinate with your Mercyhurst head coach and the Mercyhurst University Office of NCAA Compliance on the applicable NCAA DI transfer credit requirements to ensure eligibility upon enrollment at Mercyhurst University.
- Coordinate with your head coach and the Office of NCAA Compliance to confirm that you have eligibility remaining within your five-year continuous clock.
- All incoming transfer student-athletes will need to have their Division I Amateurism Certification through the NCAA Eligibility Center.
- If you do not remember your login information, please contact the NCAA Eligibility Center directly at 877-262-1492 (toll-free).
- Ask all previous collegiate institutions to send official transcripts to Mercyhurst University.
- Coordinate with your head coach and the Office of NCAA Compliance on the applicable NCAA D1 transfer credit requirements to ensure eligibility upon enrollment at Mercyhurst University.
