Originally from the Cleveland area, Peter grew up in the hospitality industry. Peter has extensive experience in hospitality operations in the areas of Lodging, Sales and Food & Beverage, having worked for Marriott, HYATT, DoubleTree, ARAMARK and Embassy Suites hotels. He has been on opening teams of many hotels and restaurants, as well as owning his own businesses. He taught at Mercyhurst University for 9 years before going back out into industry for a few more years of operational experience. He has a BA from Mercyhurst University and his MBA from Penn State University.
While on faculty, Peter has served as a faculty advisor for various student clubs to include Hospitality Management Association, our student chapter of PCMA-Power Conference, and NSMH (National Society of Minorities in Hospitality). He has experience consulting in operations and strategy in hospitality.
During his time at Mercyhurst, Peter has taught all but 4 courses in the major along with a couple courses in the Walker School of Business. Areas he is most interested in within hospitality are motivation, negotiation, strategy, and leadership. Peter also brings international experience into the classroom that he has acquired through living and working abroad.
