Mr. Long has been teaching at Mercyhurst since 2018 and has been working clinically for more than 15 years. He has spent time working for a variety of patient populations, from adolescents to geriatric, from performing arts to professional athletes. He lives outside of Erie with his wife, Melissa, and their daughters, Emma and Charlotte.

About Joshua Long
    • He is fascinated by how the body can both work and experience dysfunction and tries to cultivate a similar passion in his students.  A big fan of case scenarios, Mr. Long challenges students to explain the “why” in their clinical decision-making. He is intrigued by the potential value in neuromuscular “prehab” and the how psychosocial considerations impact musculoskeletal performance.
