In addition to core courses such as college writing I and II and Western and world classics, she teaches applied linguistics, oral interpretation, and teaching writing for the English-secondary education concentration and advanced composition for the English-writing concentration.
Education and Academic Interests:
Dr. McGurk earned a Ph.D. in English, rhetoric and linguistics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1999, an M.A. in English in 1988 from Western Illinois University, and a B.A. in English in 1982 from Chestnut Hill College.
