Jim is a retired U.S. Army Colonel and former Defense Intelligence Senior Executive Service professional with over 32+ years of service in unique roles across the Department of Defense and the U.S. Intelligence Community.  Jim’s career as an intelligence operations officer took him globally where he focused on the hardest topics and adversaries.  In uniform, Jim founded the DoD HUMINT Training Joint Center of Excellence and concluded his active-duty career as the Chief, Counterintelligence & HUMINT (J2X), U.S. Central Command.  As a senior executive, Jim held various leadership roles such as being the first Deputy Director of the Defense Clandestine Service.

Since leaving the government in 2017, Jim has led specialized intelligence training for unique clients, performed specialized consulting to various critical infrastructure industries, and became an Adjunct Professor with several institutions of higher education.
