Environment: Sustainability, Accessibility, and Safety
Engaging with spaces that are safe, accessible, and sustainable goes beyond simply spending time outdoors.
At Mercyhurst, one of our core values is global responsibility—encouraging you to use the Earth’s resources wisely and act in solidarity with diverse communities around the world. Your environment impacts your well-being in ways you might not always notice. How do you take care of your living space? Where does your food come from? What about your clothes—who makes them, and how? These everyday choices reflect your relationship with the world around you. At Mercyhurst, you will have the chance to explore how your habits affect not only your own health but also your community and the planet. You will learn how to adopt sustainable practices, be a mindful consumer, and contribute to spaces that promote well-being for all.

You will explore your values, discover new ways to connect with your environment, and understand how your everyday choices can make a difference for everyone.
