The D’Angelo Department of Music offers performances through its Faculty Recital Series, featuring monthly recitals of our talented instructors: ensemble performances of the Concert Choir, directed by C. Thomas Brooks; the Wind Ensemble and the Jazz Ensemble, both conducted by Dr. Scott Meier; the Mercyhurst Civic Orchestra, featuring D’Angelo students and advanced community musicians, directed by Jonathan R. Moser; and several Chamber Opera productions, and full-length, fully staged operas, directed by Louisa Jonason. In addition, many chamber groups – including brass, woodwind, clarinet, flute, voice, and others – perform throughout the year.
