OFFICE OF RESIDENCE LIFE AND STUDENT CONDUCT
Every experience during the next four years will be an opportunity for you to learn and to grow. Whether it is an essay you compose, a movie night with your RA, an hour of community service, a club or organization meeting, a late-night discussion with your roommates, an inspiring lecture, or an exciting athletic event – each will present an opportunity to broaden your knowledge of the world and of yourself. These experiences may shape the essence of the life you’ll live. They may determine the very quality and richness of your life — what career you pursue, with whom you will share your life, where you will choose to live, how you will spend your free time, and what causes you will champion.
Seek out these experiences. Pursue every new opportunity, explore your potential, enjoy your possibilities, commit to your future — determine now to own and shape your college experience! The opportunities at Mercyhurst are limitless, but it will be up to you to create your own experience. And most importantly, have fun! We wish you well as you begin this exciting journey and stand ready to help you make the most of it.
The Office of Residence Life and Student Conduct provides a living environment that enables each student to develop holistically through educational opportunities. The Residence Life program recognizes that learning extends well beyond the classroom and continues into the area in which students live and fosters that development through provided campus housing. Students will be encouraged to participate as active members of their communities, while maintaining acceptable standards of behavior while respecting the rights, privileges and properties of all members of the community. Students should leave the Residence Life program with the skills necessary to be productive, contributing members of society.
