Hurst is Home

Mercyhurst’s 75-acre campus is located on a hill (or “hurst”) overlooking Lake Erie. The stunning views and campus buildings are not, however, what make Mercyhurst home. It is the welcoming environment and the people who are here to help you adjust to college life from day one. Whether you are living on campus or commuting, there are plenty of resources to help you feel at home here at Mercyhurst. The Office of Residence Life and Student Conduct is here to help you adjust to college life and support you as a “home away from home” throughout your time at Mercyhurst. Our experienced staff will get to know you and work with you to ensure that you and your peers feel safe and comfortable in our on-campus living spaces.

Our Mission

The Office of Residence Life and Student Conduct provides a living environment that enables each student to develop holistically through educational opportunities. We recognize that learning extends well beyond the classroom and continues into the area in which students live. Students are encouraged to participate as active members of their communities, maintaining acceptable standards of behavior while respecting the rights, privileges, and properties of all members of our community. Students should leave the Residence Life program with the skills necessary to be productive, contributing members of society.
