Dr. Redmond has been a professor at Mercyhurst University for 30 years, 24 of which were served in the Department of Mathematics. He now teaches for the Department of Computing and Information Science. His mathematical interests include probability theory and the mathematics of tournaments. He is also a generative artist. His current interests include machine learning applied to wildlife conservation and data analytics for shelter animals. He is a guitar player in his free-time and a volunteer for the Erie Humane Society. He is a former member of the United States Army Reserve.
