Instructor of Tuba and Euphonium
Gary A. Viebranz, Adjunct Instructor of Tuba and Euphonium, graduated from The Ohio State University with the Bachelor of Music Education degree, cum laude. He holds Master of Music degrees in tuba performance and conducting, as well as a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in conducting from the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati.
Dr. Viebranz is in frequent demand throughout the United States as guest conductor, clinician, and soloist. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association, the Music Educator’s National Conference, the College Band Directors National Association, the Pennsylvania Intercollegiate Bandmasters Association, Chamber Music America, and the American Federation of Musicians.
Dr. Viebranz is also the Director of Instrumental Ensembles at Penn State-Erie, the Behrend College. He is the co-founder of “Winds on the Lake,” and a founding member of “UnderCurrents”, a professional tuba-euphonium quartet.
