Lough headed to Baltimore

Lough

According to MLB.com, former Mercyhurst University outfielder David Lough has been traded from the Kansas City Royals to the Baltimore Orioles in exchange for Danny Valencia.

Lough, 27, is coming off of his first full season at the Major League level, playing all three outfield positions for the Royals during the 2013 campaign. The Akron, Ohio native made the most of his chance, playing in 96 games while batting .286 (90-for-315) with five home runs and 33 runs batted in. He also had 17 doubles, four triples, and stole five bases in seven chances.
