Four Leading Graduate Programs

Cyber Security Master of Science (Online)

Cyber Security prepares you to analyze cyber threats to computer systems, networks and networked devices, and protect those systems from cyber attacks. You’ll also learn to evaluate the legal, regulatory and ethical issues related to cyber security and privacy, and effectively communicate complex cyber security information. Successful completion of the program should allow grads to pass the CompTIA’s Security+ certification, ISC2’s Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) certification, and ISC2’s Associate designation.

A master’s in Cyber Security is excellent preparation for career advancement in the rapidly growing cyber professions. Mercyhurst’s program is one of the few in the nation to address cyber threats to business as well as national and international security. Grads of our program are well positioned for careers as cyber analysts and IT security specialists in virtually any industry. A certificate in Cyber Security is also offered, where coursework can then be applied to the Master of Science in Cyber Security.

Cyber Risk Management Master of Science (Online)

Cyber Risk Management integrates traditional elements of risk management with cutting-edge science in big data and cyber security, providing you with the skills to assess and mitigate cyber risks and protect intellectual property. Coursework highlights the technical, legal and business aspects of cyber risk management. Successful completion of the program will allow graduates to earn two course waivers toward the prestigious CPCU designation from The Institutes.

Applied Intelligence Master of Science (Online or On Campus)

Applied Intelligence focuses on intelligence as a process, evaluating information from multiple sources and communicating analytic findings to assist with setting strategy, policy and other high-level decisions. Coursework concentrates on developing sophisticated research abilities, skilled use of analytic techniques, concise analytic writing and effective briefing. A certificate in Applied Intelligence is also offered, where coursework can then be applied to the Master of Science in Applied Intelligence.

Data Science Master of Science (On Campus)

Data scientists serve as key informants for decision-makers in both the public and private sectors. This challenging, cross-disciplinary master's curriculum emphasizes programming, data visualization, machine learning, database skills and quantitative analysis. Grads of this program are skilled at producing, visualizing and communicating actionable new insights about the meaning of data.

Professionals in High Demand

There’s never been a better time to pursue the specialized skill sets of a Cyber Security or Cyber Risk Management professional. Demand for cyber professionals is skyrocketing while supply is low. A master’s from Mercyhurst will help you close the talent gap.
