Meredith Bollheimer, J.D. serves as an Assistant Professor in the Walker College of Business.  She practiced law in the areas of insurance defense, worker’s compensation, and family law before coming to Mercyhurst in 2006.  Prior to moving into the ranks of faculty in 2010, she served as the Assistant Vice-President for Academic Services at Mercyhurst for two years, and as the Assistant Vice-President for Academic Affairs for two years.

She serves as an advisor to the Pre-Law Society at Mercyhurst University.  She also serves as the Educational Compliance Advisor to the Office for Academic Affairs and is responsible for University FERPA compliance.  She serves as the academic liaison to the Pennsylvania Department of Education for new program development.  Her research interests include women and the law, as well as current higher education law issues.  She is a member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys and sits on the Editorial Board for the Journal of College and University Law published by the National Association of College and University Attorneys and Notre Dame Law School.  She is also a member of the National Association of Women Lawyers.  Attorney Bollheimer oversees the Pre-Law Minor at the University and will oversee the Higher Education Administration concentration in the Organizational Leadership Program.  Meredith received her undergraduate degree in Political Science from the Pennsylvania State University in 1999.  She received her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2005.
