Frank Rizzone, originally from Oil City, PA was born on New Year’s Day, and has been on the job at Mercyhurst as a Career Counselor for 25 years.  His schools of focus are the Ridge College of Intelligence Studies and Applied Sciences and the Hafenmaier College of Arts, Humanities, and Sciences. Before coming to Mercyhurst in 1993, Frank worked for 20 years in the broadcast industry at the local NBC affiliate WICU-TV. He is an accomplished photographer, radio and mobile DJ, model railroader, avid camper and metal detectorist.  Frank holds a bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Notre Dame and a Master Degree in Communication from Edinboro University of PA. Frank has supervised internships in most majors at the university.  He also assists with overseeing employer relations, on campus recruiting, career counseling, internships and resume preparation. He conducts career/resume/job search related workshops, works closely with our online job posting system Handshake, and is the person behind the CDC’s Free Photo Fridays.
