Dionne Veitch currently serves as Mercyhurst University's Vice President for Enrollment, reporting directly to President Kathleen Getz and serving as an integral member of the President's Cabinet. Dionne began her Mercyhurst career in Admissions before relocating to Seattle, where she enjoyed a successful 16-year career in management and business development with a multinational computer technology firm, rising the ranks to U.S. Director of Operations. She later assumed management and marketing responsibilities for the Veitch Law Firm, with offices in Washington and Pennsylvania.

Upon her return to Mercyhurst in 2013, she progressed through ever-increasing levels of responsibility and leadership roles within the enrollment division, including director of marketing and brand management and assistant vice president for enrollment. In her tenure with the institution, she has shown that she is an efficient and effective servant leader with a proven commitment to liberal arts education and a demonstrated track record of process improvement. Dionne brings to the role an unswerving commitment to the Mercy mission and proven credentials in enrollment management.

Dionne is dedicated to strengthening the university's effort to enroll, retain, and support our students through data-driven decision making, innovative digital initiatives, and improved processes that allow Mercyhurst to complete in a 21st century landscape. As Chair of the newly chartered Retention Committee, Dionne has developed strategies to engage struggling students with the support resources needed to help them find success personally and in their coursework, as well as an early alert system that notifies stakeholders about students with suboptimal performances.
