Andrew Ferguson, Technical Director, is from Ocala, FL and graduated from Mercyhurst University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education. In 2013, he began working in the theatrical arts with the Mercyhurst University Dance and Music departments, the Mercyhurst Institute for Arts and Culture, the Erie Dance Consortium (Erie Festival of Dance), and the Erie Contemporary Ballet Theater. Andrew was Technical Director of Regional Dance America-Northeast (RDA) in 2016 and will do so again in 2019. Andrew also teaches the Production Practicum course for Mercyhurst Dance majors. Andrew has designed for numerous operas and ballets including Mozart's "Die Zauberflöte", Offenbach's "Tales of Hoffman", Verdi's "Rigoletto", Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker", "Little Match Girl", and "Sleeping Beauty." When not working on scenic or lighting design, Andrew is upgrading and maintaining theatrical systems campuswide.
