National Theatre Live presents an encore showing of Young Marx, recorded live at London’s Bridge Theatre. Rory Kinnear is Marx and Oliver Chris is Engels in this new comedy from the creative team behind the hit comedy One Man, Two Guvnors. See it Sunday, Jan. 21, at 12:55 p.m. in the Mary D’Angelo Performing Arts Center. It's 1850, and Europe’s most feared terrorist is hiding in Dean Street, Soho. Broke and restless, the 32-year-old revolutionary is a frothing combination of intellectual brilliance, invective, satiric wit and child-like emotional illiteracy. Creditors, spies, rival revolutionary factions and prospective seducers of his beautiful wife all circle like vultures. His writing blocked, his marriage dying, his friend Engels in despair at his wasted genius, his only hope is a job on the railway. Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for seniors and students, and $10 for youths. Visit miac.mercyhurst.edu or call the box office at 814-824-3000 for tickets.
