MIAC Live: Vienna Boys Choir

Monday, November 30, 2015 - 7:30pm
Mary D’Angelo Performing Arts Center

Few choir ensembles enjoy as much deserved prestige and acclaim as the Vienna Boys Choir. Legendary composers such as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Antonio Salieri and Anton Bruckner have worked with the choir, and its past members include Franz Schubert, Jacobus Gallus and Hans Richter. Six centuries after its founding, the famed choir continues to delight music lovers across the globe with its purity of tone, distinctive charm and a diverse, crowd-pleasing repertoire.

Nothing evokes the joy and magic of the Christmas season quite like the celestial voices of these extraordinary Austrian youngsters. Start off your holiday season with a concert of traditional Christmas carols and popular holiday favorites – all skillfully delivered by a choir of young musicians with more than 500 years of legacy behind them. This is a truly cheerful and endearing evening of music for the entire family.

Guests can arrive an hour before the show and enjoy complimentary beer tastings from Lavery Brewing Company, the official brewery of MIAC.

Tickets are $22 or $25 for adults, $19 or $22 for seniors/military and $16 or $19 for students/youth. For tickets, call 814-824-3000 or visit miac.mercyhurst.edu.
