Six years almost to the day since his father, Dave Brubeck, graced the PAC stage, Chris Brubeck leads his group Triple Play in an epic sojourn through American music. The innovative rock and jazz musician plays bass, trombone, piano, guitar and sings, and has earned international attention as a composer, performer and bandleader. Onstage, Chris’ irrepressible enthusiasm is matched by his command of jazz, blues, funk, pop and classical musical styles. An award-winning musician, Chris’ natural talents have made him the go-to composer for genre-bending modern classical music. Before the second half of the concert, Chris and his band will be joined onstage by a local jazz expert for a conversation on the career and legacy of Chris’ father, Dave Brubeck.
