The Mercyhurst Institute for Arts and Culture season ends with a bang, or rather a boom, courtesy of drummer Allison Miller and Boom Tic Boom. One of Downbeat magazine’s “Top 20 Jazz Drummers,” Miller shatters the jazz musician stereotype with her charisma, percussive coloring and melodic sensibilities. A respected New York City-based drummer who’s backed singer-songwriters like Natalie Merchant, Ani DiFranco and Brandi Carlile, Miller is a powerhouse musician and graceful ambassador of jazz.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and military, and $9 for students and youth. For tickets, call 814-824-3000 or visit miac.mercyhurst.edu.
