Lecture: Stirring the Pot: Bringing the Wanamaker Photos Home

The Department of Anthropology/Archaeology at Mercyhurst University presents a guest speaker to mark Anthropology Day on Thursday, Feb. 21, at 4 p.m. Dr. Joseph Stahlman, a Haudenosaunnee applied anthropologist, will discuss his recent work in digital repatriation during which photographs of 19th century Tuscarora Nation peoples were given to current residents of the Tuscarora Nation. This work culminated in a museum exhibit, part of which will be brought to campus for Dr. Stahlman’s talk. The program in Zurn 114 at Mercyhurst is free and open to the public.
