The Charlene M. Tanner Speaker Series and the Organizational Leadership graduate program at Mercyhurst University present a lecture on “The Science of Shale Gas and Oil: The Latest Evidence on Leaky Wells, Methane Emissions, and Implications for Energy Policy” on Monday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m. in Walker Recital Hall. The speaker will be A.R. Ingraffea, Ph.D., Dwight C. Baum Professor of Engineering Emeritus and Weiss Presidential Teaching Fellow at Cornell University. His presentation will explore the myths and realities concerning large-scale development of the unconventional natural gas/oil resources in shale deposits.
