RESILIENCE AND RESOLVE: VISITORS AND EVENTS
Mercyhurst University is engaged in numerous efforts to prevent, mitigate, and respond to the spread of COVID-19 on our campuses. Through these efforts Mercyhurst is limiting the number of visitors to campus this academic year.
All guests must request permission to access campus by completing our Guest Screening Form.
Additional information about special policies and procedures around visiting campus will be posted in this space.
Virtual Visits and Events
Though restrictions on gatherings have limited our in-person campus visits, we are excited to offer a range of virtual visits and events open to all prospective students and families! No matter where you are, our virtual visits and events allow you engage with the Mercyhurst community, get answers to your questions, and experience what it’s like to be a Laker.
Our virtual campus visits give you the chance to experience the history, academic culture, hospitality, and spirit of community that animate life at Mercyhurst. During your virtual visit, you’ll take a video tour of our campus (known as one of the most beautiful in the region!) and meet with your admissions counselor and a faculty member—all while discovering why Hurst is Home.
Performing and Visual Arts
For students engaged in the performing arts (including music, dance, and theatre) and the visual arts, rehearsals, performances, and public displays are important parts of honing skill in these disciplines. University administrators are working with faculty from the art, music, dance, and theatre programs to develop plans for rehearsals and shows with limited audience attendance and perhaps the use of virtual technologies so patrons can access these outstanding performances. The Mercyhurst Institute for Arts & Culture will be forgoing all in-person performances for the spring, with MIAC Live in-person performances scheduled beginning in June 2021.
