The Education Department at Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pa., invites applications for a full-time tenure track position of Assistant Professor of Special Education ( PreK-8, with emphasis on instructional methodologies and evidenced-based practices). The position carries with it a competitive salary and benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience. The normal annual teaching salary load is 24 credit hours at the undergraduate level.
QUALIFICATIONS: Candidate must have an earned doctorate in Special Education or related field from an accredited instruction. A.B.D. candidates will be considered.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Successful candidates will be able to teach undergraduate and graduate content area methods courses and supervise clinical field placements in the area of mild/moderate disabilities. An emphasis on clinical training of students in assessment, inclusive practices, and academic and behavioral interventions is desired. Successful candidates will also maintain an active scholarly agenda and participate in service to the department and university.
