Linda Kobler, ADJUNCT INSTRUCTOR OF MUSIC APPRECIATION (ONLINE), holds bachelors degrees in Piano and Harpsichord from the Peabody Conservatory, and a Master of Music degree in Piano from the Juilliard School. She has studied musicology at the City University of New York, and has served on the faculty of the Juilliard School, and The New School for Social Research. Currently she teaches online for numerous colleges and universities around the country.
Kobler has been concerto soloist with such ensembles as the Zurich Chamber Orchestra, the Toronto Symphony, the Bach Gesellschaft, and New York’s “Y” Chamber Orchestra under Gerard Schwarz. She has been a regular commentator for "National Public Radio’s “Performance Today”":http://www.npr.org/programs/pt/ and has written liner notes for "Sony Classical":http://www.sonymasterworks.com/.
