Brett D. Johnson

Dr. Johnson holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Theatre from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a B.A. in Theatre from Susquehanna University. He teaches courses in acting, theatre history, dramatic literature, theatre appreciation, and Western classics. Dr. Johnson’s directing credits include productions of Sarah Ruhl’s Eurydice, William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, Tennessee Williams’s Vieux Carré, and Mary Barile’s The Irish Rogue, for which he received the KC/ACTF award for Achievement in Directing. Dr. Johnson is also the director of the Mercyhurst Theatre Program and serves as faculty advisor for the Theatre Appreciation Club.
