Beth Ann Sheldon

Beth Ann Sheldon Sheldon, an alumna of both Mercyhurst Erie and North East, began at MNE as an adult student enrolled in the culinary program in 1996, graduated valedictorian in 1998, and proceeded to enroll at Mercyhurst University's Erie Campus, where she graduated summa cum laude in dietetics in 2001.

Two years later, she began teaching the nutrition classes as an adjunct at MNE, as well as the nutrition courses in Erie in 2004. Over the next four years, she also taught the culinary skills/meal management courses to the dietetic students in Erie from 2003 until 2007.

While teaching as an adjunct, Beth Ann completed her master's degree in adult education from Penn State University in 2006. Shortly after, she was hired full-time by MNE as the director of hospitality management and continues to teach all nutrition courses on both campuses.

Well known for her advocacy for students and her strong organizational skills. She will work toward enhancing existing programs, developing new ones and creating opportunities to share resources among campuses for the benefit of all students. She will be dividing her time between Erie and North East. Her office on the Erie campus is Preston 305.
