Two Tenure-track Computer Science Faculty Positions

Job Description

The newly formed Computing & Information Science (CIS) Department at Mercyhurst University seeks to fill two tenure-track faculty positions (preferably at the Assistant Professor level, although exceptional candidates will be considered for the Associate Professor position).  Candidates must have a PhD in computer science or a related area (ABDs will be considered).  Our department currently offers masters degrees in cyber security and data science.  While all area of computer science will be considered, preference will be given to candidates who can teach graduate cyber security courses (especially in an online environment).  In addition to the cyber security courses, there may also be opportunities to teach data science courses as well as general CIS courses.  The teaching load is 6 graduate courses per year. The position carries with it a competitive salary and benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience. The new faculty members will join a vibrant department that is experiencing an exciting period of growth.  This includes the development of a $1 million state of the art cyber-center that will provide CIS faculty members and students with world-class facilities for teaching and research.  We are also developing undergraduate and online programs.
