Programming
As an institution, Mercyhurst supports the educational needs of its students. In order to be successful, a comprehensive approach is necessary to assist students in reaching their full potential. As a department, the Residence Life Office supports the position of the college by providing programs for the social, educational, cultural, and community service needs of the students living on campus.
At Mercyhurst, programming efforts in the residence halls and apartments are an integral part of developing the whole person. A holistic approach to programming is used so that the residence life staff is supportive of students striving for a balanced lifestyle through career planning, relationship building, leadership development, academic pursuits, as well as physical, spiritual, and emotional wellness.
All students are encouraged to become involved in the many programs taking place in residence life. At the beginning of the year, an RA will solicit students' input on the types of programs that are of interest to them. Students are welcome to initiate or assist in the planning of programs or events sponsored by the residence life staff.
