Equestrian Club

Mission

The Mercyhurst College Equestrian Club provides the means for Mercyhurst students and faculty of all levels of proficiency to take riding lessons, compete in intercollegiate competition, and to pursue horse related activities and interests. The club promotes positive relationships between the college community and local equestrian centers and advocates proper and humane treatment of equines. The Mercyhurst Equestrian Team is a participating member of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) and competes as a team in Zone 3 Region 3 of the IHSA. Club activities throughout the year include riding lessons, team support, trail rides, sleigh rides, field trips to local and regional equine activities and venues, volunteer opportunities with a therapeutic riding center, fundraising, and movie nights. Team activities include horse show competition (approximately 5-8 shows per year), lessons, and clinics.

P.U.C.K. (Pick Up Hockey Club)

Mission

The purpose of P.U.C.K shall be to create an environment that allows students interested in playing semi-competitive ice hockey with their friends a chance to thrive. Our prime objective is to promote exercise and social growth through small non-contact games of ice hockey. We aim to create a social environment that is inviting as well as engaging to all those who participate.

The purpose of the Outdoor Adventure Club is to expose students to new experiences in the outdoors through physical activities by offering alternative sport options such as rock climbing, kayaking, mountain biking, and sky diving.
