Mercyhurst College has long been known for its academic quality which results in high placement rates not only in jobs but into leading post-secondary programs.
Ever since Mother Borgia Egan and the Mercy Sisters established Mercyhurst College, we have consistently sought to teach, to build, and to act with that sense of excellence and style which characterize quality in human society.
Today Mercyhurst emphasizes hands-on experiences and the value of a strong work ethic. Every student will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills in a variety of arenas--from the classroom to the work place; from the regional community to foreign countries. We also believe what is doing is worth doing well and by example teach our students this value of hard work and dignity of work during their time here.
These two philosophies have resulted in a variety of national awards, impressive statistics and amazing placements for our students.
