Information Technology
Mercyhurst recognizes the essential role of technology in higher education. As an institution we strive to enhance the educational experience by providing current and reliable technology tools, services and support for our students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
The Information Technology Department provides and supports the following resources for the Mercyhurst community:

- network connectivity including wireless access
- telephone/voicemail
- video conferencing
- satellite downlink
- Internet connectivity
- smart classrooms
- computer labs (Windows and Mac)
- email (Outlook and Webmail)
- Blackboard course management system
- Helpdesk
- Res Techs who provide res hall support
- Datatel administrative system including WebAdvisor
- webpage administration and development
- and much more
The IT Department also supports a number of other departments in the delivery of their services to the College community, including the One Card Office, the Center for Instructional Technology, and the Bookstore.
It is the mission of the IT Department to provide high quality services and support to all members of the Mercyhurst community.
The IT Department is located in the lower level of Preston Hall.
