Job Applicant Information
Please read the following information before completing an application for employment with Mercyhurst College.
All Applicants:
- To be considered as an applicant for any position, your application materials must be received no later than the closing date listed on the Position Available posting. Applications received after the closing date will not be considered.
- An application form must be completed and signed as the official application document. Written responses to each stated criteria must be submitted with the application. A resume may be sent with a completed application.
- Only applicants who meet the minimum stated qualifications will be considered.
- The College reserves the right to re-advertise or to delay indefinitely the filling of a position if it is deemed that the applicants do not constitute an adequate pool from which to make a selection.
- Under the Immigration Control Act of 1986, an employer is required to hire only U.S. citizens and lawfully authorized alien workers. Applicants who are selected for employment will be required to present documents to verify their authorization to work in the United States.
- The College does not return application materials.
- Official offers for positions will come from the President's Office.
Administrative and Faculty Applicants:
- Unofficial copies of transcripts of ALL collegiate degrees should accompany your application. Lack of transcripts may prevent your application from further consideration.
- Upon an offer of employment, official transcripts and three letters of recommendation are required.
Clerical and Staff Applicants:
- A keyboarding and/or computer proficiency test may be administered for positions requiring keyboarding. The test will be administered on an IBM personal computer using the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
