    Highly regarded reputation as a world-renowned bass guitarist in a regular and session-based capacity.

    Tony Grey has led and performed many creative learning masterclasses and workshops in universities across the United States and worldwide, including Minnesota State University, Washington University in St. Louis, Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Yamaha foundation and masterclass tour of Japan, Singapore, LaFaro Institute Mexico City, and the Netherlands. During these events, he also teaches and demonstrates to the students how to organize practice schedules and instrument mastery.

    Published two books with print publishing leaders Hal Leonard and Yamaha.

    Tony has performed all over the world with some of the most influential musicians of our time, highlights including:

    Shaggy, Gavin DeGraw, Herbie Hancock, Hiromi, John McLaughlin, Hotei Tomoyasu, Bob James, M-1, Shankar Mahadevan, Salim Merchant, Mike Stern, Reb Beach, Bill Evans, Zakir Hussain, Karsh Kale, Omar Hakim, Chris Dave, Wayne Shorter, Steve Lukather (Toto), Mino Cinelu (Sting, Lou Reed), Zach Alford (David Bowie), Reeves Gabrels, Jason Cooper (The Cure).

    Early in his career, Tony joined a pop band that was signed by record label mogul Terry Ellis who also discovered Blondie, Billy Idol, and Pat Benetar, to name a few. I toured and performed all over the world as well as having videos on MTV and three top ten singles.

    He's performed in some of the world’s most prominent venues, including The Hollywood Bowl, North Sea Jazz, Umbrea Jazz, Red Sea Jazz, Cape Town Jazz Festival, The Blue Note NYC, Milan and Tokyo, Brecon Jazz, Playboy Jazz Festival, Newport Jazz, Tokyo Jazz, Bangkok Jazz Festival, and Singapore to name a few. He's also led his own bands in Japan, UK, Slovakia, Mexico and around the United States.

    Tony's CDs have been released by ObliqSound (Paris), Abstract Logix (USA) and distributed in Japan by Universal Records.

    Wrote and arranged songs for the superstar Japanese guitarist Tomoyasu Hotei who has sold over 56 million records for a DVD release Live at the Blue Note. He's written jingles for Travelocity North America and Activ Technology in the UK.

    • Well respected jazz artist with four released solo albums.
    • Third CD released, Unknown Angels, was voted Jazz Album of the Year in the Independent music awards.

    • Made the Top 10 iTunes US and UK for CD Elevation.

    • Fodera, the high-end bass builders, created a Tony Grey signature bass in his honor.
