PRSSA students host Frozen Putt-A-Thon

Wednesday, February 12, 2014

Once again, students at Mercyhurst University have found a way to take the chill out of winter. Join the fun when members of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) host their annual Frozen Putt-A-Thon at Harbor View Miniature Golf Course, 36 State St., on Saturday, Feb. 15, from noon to 4 p.m.

“This is our third year hosting this popular event,” said PRSSA member Lauren Smith. “Besides helping our chapter raise money, part of our proceeds will go to the A.N.N.A. (Association for Needy and Neglected Animals) Shelter, which we have chosen to partner with this year.”

Tickets are $3, $2 for college students with ID, and $1 for individuals in groups of 10 or more. Attendees can enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and snacks while supplies last.

Anyone who makes a cash donation or brings an item for the A.N.N.A. Shelter will receive a discount. Items needed are bleach, laundry soap, disinfectant wipes, paper towels, rawhides/pig ears, cat litter, and cat and kitten food.
