Mercyhurst University North East is ranked #15 among the 50 most affordable small Catholic colleges of 2015, according to College Values Online.
More than 150 institutions within the United States and Puerto Rico were analyzed. Below are the criteria used in the selection process:
• Accreditation – Only accredited schools offering associate, bachelor’s, or master’s degree programs were analyzed. Some institutions offered certifications in addition to degrees.
• Affiliation – Roman Catholic religious affiliation.
• Affordability – The average net price for full-time beginning students.
• Maximum enrollment – 2,000 or fewer undergraduate students.
After gathering a list of schools meeting these criteria, College Values Online sorted them in order of affordability based on the most recently published average net price for full-time beginning students as listed by the U.S. Department of Education’s Institute of Education Science College Navigator. Mercyhurst North East’s net price is listed at $13,822.
MNE offers mainly associate degrees and certificate programs. The most popular include business administration, computer systems support, culinary arts, nursing and physical therapist assistant. The athletic teams participate in 16 National Junior College Athletic Association sports. The Middle States Commission on Higher Education accredits the school and various programs.
