Friday’s high is predicted to be a springlike 67 degrees, perfect for a leisurely walk across campus. To make it all the sweeter, take the route through Garvey Park where you’ll find the Girl Scout Cookie Bus from 11:15 to 11:45 a.m.
Erie area Girl Scouts will be aboard the bus, selling cookies and taking donations to send cookies to the U.S. military through Operation: Sweet Appreciation. (Cash and credit/debit accepted.)
The bus will be traveling throughout Erie in the morning and early afternoon, making its half-hour stop at Mercyhurst along the drive between Garvey Park and Baldwin Hall.
National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend, Feb. 24-26, celebrates the world’s largest girl-led business and happens to coincide with the kick-off of cookie booth sales in western Pennsylvania, which continue through March 19.
So, don’t forget to stop by and meet some great local Girl Scouts and stock up on your favorite cookies.
