MNE drive nets 425 pounds of food

Members of the Mercyhurst North East community collected 425 pounds of food for the North East Food Pantry in this year’s annual Spring Food Drive. Rachel Pacholke, assistant student life director, coordinated the biannual effort. The next food drive will be held this fall, just in time for Thanksgiving. Among the student volunteers who helped weigh and deliver the food were, from left, Alexis Gambrell of Erie, a liberal arts – science major; Haley Schaef of Albion, a criminal justice major; Matthew Noel of Erie, a business administration – sport management major; and Ahmed Ali from Erie, a liberal arts – science major.
