Mercyhurst welcomes 14 new faculty

Mercyhurst University’s continued commitment to teaching excellence and academic growth has led to the hiring of 14 new full-time faculty members, effective at the start of the 2013-2014 academic year.

“Mercyhurst excels on the passion, commitment and academic expertise of its faculty,” said Phillip J. Belfiore, Ph.D., associate provost and vice president for academic affairs. “This incoming class of new faculty members shows all the potential to build upon that reputation. I look forward to the uniqueness each new member will add the mix.”

Of these positions, six are new, while eight were previously held by professors who have since retired or resigned.
