Men's rowing poised for Henley

OXFORDSHIRE, England - Mercyhurst University's four-man boat that traveled across the pond to England to race in the prestigious Henley Royal Regatta won the Reading Town Regatta on Saturday. The race served as a warm-up to the big race in which the Lakers will begin on the Fourth of July.

The Lakers, coached by Adrian Spracklen, raced in the Senior Coxless Four event at the Reading Town Regatta on Saturday. Representing Mercyhurst on the four-man boat was Ivan Palikuca in the stroke position, David Cullmer in seat three, Xavier Alexander in seat two, and Kevon Bridges in the bow position.
