Alumnus unveils new scholarship, donated $25,000 | April 04, 2001

In addition to presenting his documentary “Journey to a Hate Free Millennium” on the Mercyhurst College campus Tuesday, April 3, Brent Scarpo surprised the college community by unveiling a new Mercyhurst scholarship that is dedicated to the memories of slain University of Wyoming student Matthew Shepard and Scarpo’s mother Betty, who died from cancer four years ago.

Mercyhurst professor to be honored by Pennsylvania of Family and Consumer Sciences | March 31, 2001

Charlene Glispy, director of the human ecology department and the dietetics program at Mercyhurst College, is this year’s winner of the “Outstanding Professional Award,” presented annually by the Pennsylvania Association of Family and Consumer Sciences. Glispy will be honored at the association’s annual April meeting held in Pittsburgh, Pa.
