Christmas tree lighting set for Friday, Dec. 13

The third annual Mercyhurst Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13, at the tree between the Carolyn Herrmann Student Union and Baldwin Hall. 

Sister JoAnne Courneen RSM, president of the Erie Sisters of Mercy, will honor the Mercyhurst College community by officially lighting the tree. 

Caroling will accompany the ceremony, which is open to the entire Mercyhurst community and their families. A reception will immediately follow in the Great Room of the student union.
