Music: Tri-State Honors Band

Tri-State Honors Band An ensemble of high school students from as many as 15 schools in Erie County and nearby Ohio presents the annual Tri-State Honor Band Concert. After rehearsing on campus for three days, the band will perform Ticheli’s Portrait of a Clown, Del Borgo’s Sea Trilogy, Colgrass’s Old Churches, Swearingen’s Blue Ridge Saga and Daehn’s As Summer Was Just Beginning. Mercyhurst Professor Dr. Scott Meier conducts the concert Saturday, Jan. 11, at 2 p.m.. in the Mary D’Angelo Performing Arts Center. It’s free and open to the public.
