MIAC Live: Compagnie Käfig

French choreographer Mourad Merzouki’s Compagnie Käfig is a company of young men in their teens and early 20s, inspired by Brazilian street dancers. With their clever hip-hop choreography, they have thrilled audiences worldwide with highly entertaining pieces that give impetus to a dreamlike and sensitive universe. Compagnie Käfig will perform AGWA and Correria at the Mary D’Angelo Performing Arts Center at Mercyhurst University on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 8 p.m. Arrive early to get rowdy with dub-step beats mixed by ‘Hurst student Alan Amereck and a showcase of local breakdancing.  This performance is made possible by the Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundation with support from the National Endowment for the Arts.
