Course Syllabus
Students in the Summer Program are scheduled to take Religious Person and Traditions (RLST 100), 3-credit course which satisfies a core requirement for Religious Traditions and is designed to explore topics that may challenge the spirit and the intellect. It will also provide the opportunity to read about the very nature of a creator and the different religious responses to that creator.
There is opportunity to discuss with each other the thoughts and feelings that are generated from broaching such topics. At times there will be disagreement, at others harmony and at even more, confusion. It is imperative for the success of the individual and for the group that each member of the class is committed to open-mindedness, critical thinking, respecting each other and learning how to connect personal faith and beliefs with social justice.

The class will meet Monday - Friday mornings for 3 weeks and will include course reading, studying for tests, daily journaling, preparing projects/homework and a group community service project.
