Planned Giving - The O'Neil Society
The O'Neil Society was created in 1990 as a tribute to James and Orva O'Neil, who were major benefactors at the college in the '30s. O'Neil Tower, Christ the King Chapel, the Queen's Chapel and the original Our Lady of Lourdes statue were all funded by the O'Neil Family.
The O'Neil Society today honors those generous alumni, parents and friends who have remembered Mercyhurst College in their estate planning, ensuring that the values and tradition of a Mercy-centered, liberal arts education will continue for future generations.
You, too, can become a member by informing us that you have made a planned gift for the college:
- Through a will bequest
- By naming Mercyhurst College as beneficiary to a life insurance policy
- Through a gift of property
- Through a charitable trust with life income retained by the donor
