Egan Scholarship

The Egan Scholarship is the primary merit-based scholarship awarded by Mercyhurst College. It is awarded to accepted freshmen students on the basis of their high school academic record and either their combined SAT math and critical reading score* or their ACT score.
- Students with at least a 3.00 GPA and either a SAT score of 1070 or higher or an ACT score of 23 or higher will receive up to $10,000 per year.
- Students with at least a 3.50 GPA and either a SAT score of 1100-1200 or an ACT score of 24-26 will receive up to $11,000 per year.
- Students with at least a 3.50 GPA and either a SAT score of 1210 or higher, or an ACT score of 27 or higher will receive up to $12,000 per year.
Students who wish to be considered for an Egan Scholarship must submit their SAT or ACT test scores by January 31, 2008.
* The student's best SAT math score is combined with the student's best critical reading score to determine the highest possible combined SAT score. For example, an SAT math score from the October test may be matched up with a critical reading score from the December test.
