Veterans Services

If you have served our country in the Active Duty Military, the Reserves or the National Guard you may be eligible for education benefits under the Montgomery GI Bill. Under certain circumstances, spouses and children of veterans may also be eligible for education benefits.
Mercyhurst is also participating in the new Chapter 33 Post 9/11 GI educational bill which for qualifying veterans will cover the cost of tuition and fees while receiving housing and book allowance. The Yellow Ribbon Program will also be offered for Veterans who are transferring their benefits to their children or spouse.
The College's Veterans Representative is available to assist veteran applicants and students with the filing of all documentation related to the Montgomery GI Bill. You can contact the Veterans Representative, Karen Reagan.
Please note that the Veterans Administration may require four or more weeks to process new applications for education benefits. It is very important to begin the application process well in advance of the term in which you are planning to enroll.
Further information about the Montgomery GI Bill as well as required forms are available at the VA website .
