Adjunct Instructor of Oboe
He served as principal oboist of the Flint Symphony Orchestra from 1984-1991, and has performed with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, the Buffalo Philharmonic, the Erie Philharmonic, the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra, and the Western New York Chamber Orchestra.
Mark DuBois, Adjunct Instructor of Oboe, teaches oboe at the State University of New York at Fredonia, where he has also taught music theory. He received his Master of Music in oboe performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music in 1984 where he studied with John Mack, and from which he received his Bachelor of Music in 1983. His Master of Education degree was conferred in 1997 by the State University of New York at Buffalo.
Former students of Mark’s serve as Principal oboe of the Atlanta Symphony, (2007), the Orlando Symphony Orchestra, the Florida West Coast Symphony, and second oboe with the Virginia Symphony Orchestra.
