Instructor of Cello
Lisa Brown began playing cello at a very young age. In 2008, she earned a Masters of Music in cello performance from Carnegie Mellon University where she studied under Anne Martindale Williams, the principal cellist of the Pittsburgh symphony. Previously she earned her Bachelors of Music in cello performance from the Hartt School at the University of Hartford where she studied under Steven Thomas. Lisa also enjoys teaching and has taught students of all ages. In 2009, she completed her Suzuki teacher training at The School for Strings in New York, studying under Pamela Devenport. She has also taught at the Csehy Summer School of Music. Lisa is married to her husband, William, and they have two daughters, Annika and Lydia.
